Terri DeBono has an MFA from UCLA’s Theater Dept. with a specialization in directing. A former board member of the Monterey County Film Commission, she has produced many plays and film including a feature length anthology of John Steinbeck short stories, Three By Steinbeck, and the award winning film, Time Captured in Paintings, narrated by Jack Lemmon.

Steve Rosen graduated from UCLA’s Film Department and pursued graduate studies in cinematography and ethnographic film. Previous documentaries include Huelga with César Chávez; Knowing It Survives Us, with Sander Vanocur; Save Our Seas, with Eddie Albert; Acapulco Gold; Silver Harvest; and On Location, East of Eden, featuring Jane Seymour.

Together they have produced many notable documentaries including:

Boyhood Shadows, is one of the first films to explore the life-long trauma caused by childhood sexual abuse on adult males. This compelling and sensitive feature-length documentary won a Bronze Award at Houston Worldliest, and was screened at international festivals in Victoria, Canada; Tiburon; and Swansea, Wales. It was presented by KQED, San Francisco to air nationally on PBS affiliates in 2014.

My Name Is Belle, a poignant film about immigration seen through a child’s eyes, has been awarded the CINE Golden Eagle Award, 2007. It is currently being distributed to Public Television stations through NETA.

Accidental Hero: Room 408 has won Best Documentary at the Ashland International Film Festival, 2001 and Best Documentary at CINEQUEST Film Fest. It aired nationally on PBS broadcast in 2002.

Their critically acclaimed Beyond Barbed Wire aired nationally on PBS, and was selected for the permanent archive of the Museum of Television and Radio. It won a Distinguished Documentary Achievement Award (IDA) and screened at Lincoln Center in New York’s Human Rights Watch International Film Festival.
